Essential maintenance on the Chemistry fume extraction systems over the weekend of the 20th – 21st August

Where: Chemistry & Chemistry West Block – 0016

When: Saturday 20th August  and Sunday 21st August – 0800-1630

Effects of this interruption upon building occupantsDuring the work there will be a total loss of extraction, which may result in an unpleasant/hazardous odour/atmosphere build up in the labs.  Therefore, it is not permitted to work in or occupy the labs during this time.

This includes offices within labs. Please make sure that you leave your fume cupboard safe and with the sash in the lowered position. All fume cupboards are likely to go into alarm.

Reason for works/services interruption: Essential upgrade work to fume extraction system.
