Status

Planning permission has been received for this ambitious new building, we anticipate completion by the autumn 2021. The proposals are for the construction of a new multi-storey teaching facility on Cloberry Street, shared by LUBS, the School of Law and the School of Languages and Central Teaching Space.  It is proposed that prominent features of the building will include a new Trading Room, flexible teaching areas and Behavioural Laboratories to provide more flexible and innovative ways of teaching.

Enabling work and trial pits to locate existing site services are now complete. In late January 2019, excavation works will commence outside Storm Jameson. There will also be some road closures on Cromer Terrace.

Main contractor works to begin Autumn 2019.

Car Parking in the Purple Zone will remain accessible throughout the duration of the enabling works period.
